Summary
Building an immersive night of experimental chamber music and visuals from scratch, with a group of film and television composers, in a Downtown LA / Arts District warehouse

About
The Echo Society held its' fourth concert, "Veils", featuring a 9 piece chamber ensemble performing original Echo Society works for the first time, alongside special guest composers Mica Levi, Daniel Wohl and Justin Boreta + Matthew Davis. This took place on November 14th, 2015, at MAMA Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles. The LA-based ensemble, comprised of traditional instrumentation mixed with electronics, was created for the show and was conducted by Joe Trapanese (Tron, Straight Outta Compton).

The night featured visual design by EFFIXX, stage & lighting design by Adam LaBay and Taran Allen, and sound by Satoshi Noguchi.
Role
EFFIXX brought on lighting and stage design masters Adam LaBay and Taran Allen to help transform an empty warehouse in the back of an LA Arts District warehouse into a full-blown concert experience by cutting the room in half and creating an epic stage backdrop of lighting arrays, motorized sheet metal panels, theatrical scrim, and a 30k projector as a moving, high-powered light source.
Video & Lighting Design
motion design & content production
By using projection as an overhead light source above the audience, and filling the upstage area with an array of light beam towers, we activated all areas within the venue, creating unique and dramatic surprises during each performance throughout the course of the night.
